Title: Complete UAII Systems For Sale
Post by: 1UP on October 05, 2006, 02:05:00 pm

Only 4 of these up for sale.  These systems include the monitor, PC, and controls (with Slikstik spinner and Happ trackball, buttons and sticks), already installed.  No, the panel does not rotate...  (The Spincade logo is there just to establish the brand name.)

Even though I know most people on these forums are interested in building their own systems, I'm pushing these here because I have a deal with these guys.  The sooner they sell out, the sooner the actual Spincade systems go into production!  So if you are in the market for something like this in a similar price range, please buy it from geeks.com (http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=ARCADE-01&cat=TOO&cpc=TOObsc)!

Thanks for looking.  :)

They are actually 23".  I wanted to go larger (D9200) but we had to keep costs as low as possible on this first run.  At least these are higher res, so they will do nicer vectors.  Once you get into the game though, it's true you don't notice the size so much.

23" is plenty big, but it just looks small because of all that real estate.

Pwnt

LOL

I wasn't trying to be rude though.  I was just curious.  I've been checking the page every once in a while because I'm waiting for 1UP's announcement about his new cab kits and I figure it might be related to these sales.

Yes, I was disappointed to find out they had put 2 of the machines under the wrong category, so they showed as being sold...   :dunno

But looks like one of them has actually sold now...down to 3 in stock.  Hopefully the Christmas rush will take care of the rest.  I always get the most requests a couple weeks before Christmas, so we'll see how it goes.  I really would rather be selling rotating units though.  ;)

Best of luck, but I have to be honest with you, with that monitor size (in that cab configuration anyways) I just couldn't recommend that system to anyone. That's not where I would have cut costs, just looking at that giant bezel is a real turn-off. I'm sure other people will have that same reaction.

I say this only to be helpful, hope it all works out.

You're preaching to the choir...Believe me, it was not my decision to use the smaller monitors.  But, back when the specs included WG D9200s, they were one of the more expensive components, so something had to give.  Future systems will have more options, such as monitor size, system specs, etc.
