Was at Funspot, Weirs Beach NH USA a couple of weeks ago. I put up a small clip with pictures and some video on Youtube:

For those who haven't been there: it's close to arcade game heaven :D

Wow, amazing place. Nice video editing too BTW. :)

Ah, something from my old neck of the woods!
Here's a few more pics. They are several years old, tho.
Yup, it's Arcade Mecca for sure!
-
And the last of them. . .
When you're up there, go down the road and try the Kellerhaus for some great ice cream!
As I was typing this, my dog, who was sitting next to me, farted. He looked shocked and gave his butt a good sniff to see what the hell was going on down there! :laugh2:

Yeah....it's a breeze with iMovieHD (yes I love my Mac Mini :D)
Think I chose the wrong conversion though, I'll see if I can get a bit better quality.
Tex: Wahahaha....looks like they changed quite a lot compared to your pics.
Indeed I remember the Kellerhaus (sounds very German) but we didn't get some Icecream there. We stayed at the 1842 (or something like that) motel almost across the street. I wish I'd had a couple of days there (on my own ;) )

Honestly, the pins there are more amazing than the vids. So much harder to keep going.
And you gotta show the coin operated bumper cars. I wish I could ride those things. :laugh2:
-
There is a very short clip of my son riding one....
-
Did you eat there? We usually do.
-
Actualy. no....we had some drinks there but that's it....how is the food ?
-
Eh, not all that great, but the prices are low. We always buy it because it is probably high profit margin for them. Support the business!
-
I sure hope they average more business than the clientel they had on hand during your visit. That place was deader than a doornail in the video. I would love to go there myself!
It is impossible to ifnd classic games. Whenever I find one, I get my wife to play it. Each time, she seems to warm up a little more to the arcade stuff. ;)

Well, the drinks weren't all that great as well. I sympathise with you eating there, but we opted for the McDonalds up the road to Meredith (a very nice one actualy).
Shardian: This was shot almost right after the place opened in the moring and also on a regular working day (Thursday 7 september). The place is so huge, you didn't see many other people. But I guess they most have it from weekends and holiday period, and then also the evenings I bet.
Also, the newer games are downstairs. The video I shot was made upstairs where all the classics are.
I was nice to be able to choose any game I wanted to play, but it would have been nicer to have some "audience" around. Now nobody believes I beat most of those records that are there on the wall ;) ;)
I wouldn't mind working there in the maintanence for a couple of months !!!!!

That's a huge vacation spot for the wealthy. It really packs up in the summer times. On a rainy summer day you can barely walk around sometimes.
-
Yeah, we were lucky. Season was just over, but we had fantastic weather (stayed at the beach for a couple of hours). The lake is very nice. Saw lots of speedboats so yeah I guess there are some rich people around. However, I saw some pontoons (never saw boats like that here) and they are incredibly cheap compared to "regular" boats......and petrol prices are a laugh compared to ours...
-
You have to drive around to the other side of the lake to really see the wealth. We're talking 15 bedroom 50,000sqft houses... and those are their summer homes. There may actually be a size cap on how big the boats can be on that lake. Since there are so damn many of them.
