I just received my Jpac and ArcadeVGA. I was amazed at how easy it was to hook everything up, but I'm having some problems with the ArcadeVGA card.
I cannot get any picture at all! The card slid effortlessly into the AGP slot of the PC, and I hooked the VGA cable into the Jpac, attached to the PC via USB, and hooked into the JAMMA edge connector of the Japanese NeoGeo 29 candy cab that I am mameing for my girlfriend. The monitor powers on fine, but there is only black, it gets no signal at all.
Then I tried going out to my girlfriend's TV via svideo, but the TV does not read any signal either. I do not have a PC monitor, but I tested the PC when I purchased it, and it worked fine.
Is there a problem with my card, or did I do something wrong? There was no problem installing the card inside the PC, and I was very careful, discharged static, etc. There was minor damage to the box (crushed inside the DHL envelope), but the card looks perfect. I know that you had a recall, but from my understanding everything is fine with the AVGA now.
I have read the PDF's several times, and looked on various forums, but cannot figure out what is happening. I'm at my wit's end, please help!
Thanks-

I am assuming you installed all the drivers, etc...?
-
That's the thing, the avga documentation says to install the card before the drivers. I didn't uninstall the old card, though, because it has only VGA out, and I don't have a vga monitor. I brought the machine in to work today, where I have access to a monitor, I will try to swap out the cards again and uninstall the old one.
Still concerned, though. Even if the old card's drivers were still on there, it doesn't seem like it wouldn't send any out signal at all!

No luck, uninstalled old drivers, the old card still works fine, but there is no signal at all from the arcadeVGA.

Email Andy and all will be well.
(But let us know what he says.)

Have been talking to Andy, I guess one other customer has had this prob. No outputs work.
Haven't resolved it yet, but I know Andy's good with customer service. . .

Andy thinks it's a faulty board, I'm sending it back for replacement. This thread should not give anyone a bad impression of Ulimarc, Andy has been very helpful.
