Title: Mala Gamelist does not copy roms to folder
Post by: BamBam on October 03, 2006, 10:28:28 am
Hi,

I have edited my gamelist in Mala to only display the games that I want.  I have gone into the Game list editor (Gamelist.exe) and have opened my new gamelist (Backup.mlg).  I select the option to copy roms to folder, under Gamelist, and tell it to copy them to a folder called c:\Mame\ROMS Backup.  When I execute the command, only 20 ROMs, out of 1110, copy to the folder.  The program then says "Error while copying ROM".
I am trying to condense the aount of ROMS on my arcade, by getting rid of un-necessary ones.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

John

Please zip and upload the game list 'Backup.mlg' here: http://mala.arcadezentrum.com/layout_upload.html
So I can check it.

The only reason for this error is that you have at least one game in the list without a rom file in your rom folder. Then the copy function will failure. Are you sure you enabled 'only games with roms' when creating the main game list?

Hmmm.  I have gone through all of my ROMs and have saved them to a game list.  I don't think I made that selection.  Is there another way of going through my existing game list to see where the problem may be?
Thanks for your help.
