Hello, I finally got another cabinet delivered to my house! It's an old Karate Champ cabinet in decent condition. I plan on building it into a custom Golden Tee machine based on the windows version of Golden Tee. I have about 30 courses on the computer I plan to use and I have the trackball and buttons I plan on using (x-arcade parts only, will build into custom panel).
Has anyone else built a golden tee dedicated cabinet with nothing else other than golden tee on it? Or maybe just a trackball machine with only trackball games on it?
Hope to hear from you soon!!

My first answer was "Sorry, someone beat you to it" but the more I think about it...I can't remember anyone building a dedicated Golden Tee especially out of an old Karate Champ cab. ;D
Seriously tho, take lots of pics and give us all the specs you can.

Oops I posted the wrong picture, I'll have to get one of the karate champ cabinet you can see. It's nice because the screen is tilted down quite a bit so you can hit the trackball hard like the arcade versions of golden tee. I'd love to see someone else's golden tee machine if one is built, looking for ideas. :)
Thanks!!

now THAT is awesome!! That's what I wanted to do but got ahold of the karate champ cabinet for next to nothing so I decided might as well use that. I work out of town in the states (im from canada) so i only have a week here and a week there off, I dont get much time to work on the machines. It's easier to have one already built and convert it then build one from scratch. But man this GT he made rules! Mine will be based on a computer though, since I want to add more trackball games as well.

Edmonton!!! :D I do know people from Toronto though I've visited quite a few times and would love to live there! It's probably a lot easier to get machines there too, it's next to impossible finding a decent machine here. So about the centipede into a house of the dead 3 conversion....I'm doing it that's final :hissy: lol What colors would look best? I have the marquee, the guns, the xbox, the holsters, the gun hoses, everything needed to make it look authentic, I just dont know what colors would look the best: http://www.marknetwork.com/cabinets
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Funny, there as a run last year where I was finding way more cabs in Edmonton than here. The cabinet capital of the country seems to be the London/St Thomas area, though.
Cheers.

Hmm I must be looking in the wrong places, I've called everywhere there's lots of cabinets but they want like $350+ for a non working machine. That's ridiculous. I found 2 for $150 each earlier, and got the Karate Champ for a few bucks from my brother in law.
so...the colors of the house of the dead 3? any thoughts?

Are there useful karate champ parts left over?
I'm looking for a nice(r) CP...

Since you are making a trackball game. Why wouldn't you put the trackball game into, oh I don't know, an original trackball cabinet like Centipede.
Put HOTD3 into the Karate Champ. ???
