 Im new to this forum, just thought I would show you good folk's my cab
to see what you think
-
Looks great. I like the design. I think this thread belongs in the project announcement section though.
-
I really like the design of the cabinet itself, in particularly the curves in the front bottom and back top
-
Looks good!I like the chrome brackets. I also like the overall design. The way you displayed your speakers vs. hiding them is also a nice touch.
How does the gun work? Work well? I been debating getting one....
The only negative thing I see is all the yellow buttons (admin?). I prefer a cleaner control panel. I would suggest some buttons from MikeDeuce.
Otherwise - looks great! Good work.
-
Hi leapinlew thanks for the kind words.
The LCD Top Gun work's a treat,a bit fiddly calibrating :banghead: but definitely worth it.
-
Looks great and something to be proud of.
Well done! 8)

rustynutts :laugh2:
looks good !
-
Very nice indeed.
Is it your own design, or did you build it from plans?
-
The cab it self was an old virtua fighter it was in a right old state when i picked it up.
But a bit good old elbow grees it scrubbed up nice and ready to apply my art work.
-
Good look overall but what do ALL those yellow buttons do?
Are you trying to make the first cabinet that is able to play all those Mahjohng games? :laugh2:
-
Hey, very nice!
The curvy shape (esp profile) reminds me of a late 70's era jukebox.
-
very nice. whats the size of that screen?
-
:DHi the screen is a 28" tv with s-video and RGB scart. (for the game cube)
800X600 rez works perfect. :laugh2:
-
Very nice conversion. :)

I really like the color scheme down the front of the cabinet. That blue against the molding is slick.
-
Very cool looking cabinet. But I think it needs more admin buttons. ;D
-
really nice.
-
That would probably be my only negative comment is the yellow admin buttons. I'm guessing thats what they are.
-
You did really good work on the cabinet. Honestly, I don't like the design of the cab. I think it tries to go for a futuristic look but over does it. I always preffered the classic cab design like Q-Bert and Centipede. But to each his own of course. Good work though. :applaud:
By the way, how did you do the chrome t-molding?
-
Looks great. Good cabinet design, bright monitor - very well done.
-
I am currently doing one also and was looking at the picture's wondering how you made the round cut and got the T-molding down the side's of the coin door's and was like wow then I went to klov and seen your's is the revised version and I have the origanal more boxed styled cuase I was looking and that smooth back and seen it was missing the speaker area and was like how did this guy cut that so neat well now I know lol
nice cab though look's great and can't wait to finish mine still waiting on the formica glue to dry on my co while I am typing here lol ;)
