I have a brand new Betson Imperial CGA monitor connected to a ArcadeVGA with this pinout (http://dragonsden.emuunlim.com/pinout.jpg
(http://dragonsden.emuunlim.com/pinout.jpg)) for the input. I am running Gentoo with AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMenu. I cannot get the monitor to stop scrolling. There are 4 pots: Horiz-osc, V-Hold, V-Line, and S.P.C. I have been adjusting the Horiz-osc and the V-hold to try and get the monitor to sync. I can get close (it slows to a near stop) but then slowly speeds up, never really stopping(syncing). I am using the advcfg utility to configure the monitor.
Any suggestions? I'm :banghead: .

1. is there only RGB SYNC & GND connectors on the monitor pcb ?
2. You do have VGA Breakout cable ?
I have the WG7200 and for sure if I use SYNC, it scrolls like crazy it wanted it to be Separate H/V SYNCs. Once I did that, scrolling stop. If this will be the case, you also need the cut the MOON shape on the AVGA card to have separate sync. You can always to back by just twisting this 2 wires later to make SYNC (like it is now).

Thanks for the quick reply. To answer your questions:
1. Yes. The monitor inputs are RGB, Ground. H-sync, and V-sync.
2. I have a VGA cable that I used to match the Monitor inputs, using the pinout I listed in my first post.
As far as the wiring goes, I think I have separate SYNCs, however I am confused about what you mean by "cut the MOON shape on the AVGA card to have separate sync". Could you elaborate on this. I think that may be the problem if indeed I do not have separate SYNCs coming from the AVGA.

my bad, I was refering to the moon shape in the VIDEO AMP.... :banghead:
There is no MOON shape on the AVGA itself. If you don't have the Video AMP , and you have yours hook up as separate SYNC, then you need to twist the H/V sync off the AVGA breakout cable and hook this to the V/Sync (neg) on the monitor. So you have nothing hookup to the H/Sync. If your setup is the reverse, then you need it separated and hook to NEG H/V sync.
In other words:
If your setup now is: Have it hook up separate neg sync's then:
Then Twist PIN 13 & 14 and hook it to the monitors V/Sync (neg) or try the H/Sysnc too...
If your setup now is: Pin 13 & 14 twisted and hook to the V/Sync on monitor:
Then separate pin 13 & 14 and hook it up separately on the monitors V/H Sync (neg)
LMK how you came up.....
