I was at K-Mart earlier today, and I saw a Golden Tee TV game, you know, the kind that plugs directly into a television. Anyway, I wasn't able to pull it out of its box, but it looked like it had a nice trackball in it...the unit was only $40. One wonders if it could easily be connected to an encoder...

Nobody seems to have commented on the quality of the trackball. Is it a 2.25"? How's the TB feel?
Back in the day, Wico made those trackballs for the Atari which were, basically, wico trackballs (I think the rollers might have been slightly smaller or something) so it seems like this could be a useable item, particularly when it goes on sale for $25.
It's got to be better than using a trackball designed to be a pointing device. Nobody's opened one up yet?
