I have ordered my Buttons, Joysticks and trackball from dreamarcades and as we speak they should be crossing the pond over to me in the UK :applaud:
My question is will a mini Ipac have enough inputs for my needs?
I will have two joysticks, with 6 buttons each, player 1 and 2 buttons, coin1 and 2, escape and maybe a tab button.
The trackball is PS/2 so theres no issue there I presume as that goes into my mouse slot.
cheers

the minipac is ok but the wiring harness that comes with it is meh.. yep, meh. I have used it 4 times and the connectors dont reallly fir the microswitches. best to make your own harness.

I have a similar setup on my CP and the Minipac does the job quite well. In my opinion the wiring harness is a must as it will save you lot's of time stripping and crimping. Also consider getting the extension pack if you have your controls more than 18" apart.

Yes, it will be fine for those inputs, and does an excellent job. Well worth the money.
I had to squish the crimp connectors a bit to get them to fit snugly, but hell, I had to do that on all the rest of my wiring too.

Sounds like you will be needing 26 inputs, the Mini-Pac has 28, so your good to go.
Word of advice, GET THE OPTIONAL WIRE HARNESS, I bought my Mini-Pac without the optional $10 wire harness because I thought since I've wired a I-Pac4 before I was more then capable.......WRONG!
The Mini-Pac is just that....MINI! The pins are so close together that you need a special sized molex just to mate it to the wires.
Save yourself some time, it's only around $10-$12 with the Mini-Pac, well worth it.
Enjoy and Good Luck!
