Hi ! I'm new here.
I've been lurking around for a month here and reading some helpful tips regarding MAME... And now i feel like some asking my own question so here I am...
I'm just starting to build my own PC arcade... I'm finished with Keyboard mapping and coin slot and everything...
My problem is the program... I have three problem with this...
First I get a warning screen like this..
warning : cannot open swap files swapfiles.cws
How can I get rid of this?
Second .. some games check rom/ram so it so slow to load games.
Third ...some games are not centered like Marvel Super Heroes. It always display at the left part of the screen and doesn't occupy all screen just 3/4 of it.
I hope someone could help with this.
Thank you.

Well, I'm not sure about #1 or #3, but #2 is like you just turned on the machine, like you just turned on your computer.

Welcome E.G.Ram!!

Give us a bit more info regarding what program or version of MAME this is, and when you find out, post it in the "Software" section, the programmers frequent that area alot,
Second .. some games check rom/ram so it so slow to load games.
Keep in mind emulators are going to run very authenticly, meaning from the go, they trick your PC into thinking exactly like the Arcade gameboard that is selected, with throttle on (Which should be) your mega 3GHz beast of a PC (If you have one) will still take as long to load Defender as the next guy with his modest 200MHz, thats the way of proper emulation.
What are you PC specs just for the record, it may help us in the future.
Third ...some games are not centered like Marvel Super Heroes. It always display at the left part of the screen and doesn't occupy all screen just 3/4 of it.
If you have MAME32, go into the Display area of General options and make sure "Stretch Screen" is enabled.
If you have Dos MAME, check the "Mame.ini" for the same option and make sure it is set to "1".

Thanks for the reply.
I found PC Arcade here as I browse at the internet last month. I read a lot regarding this and now I'm almost finished setting up the hardware.
I'm using P3 733 CPU, 128 Memory, 4 Mb S3 Trio Video Card, ESS 1869 Sound Card and LG Keyboard. Arcade OS 1.1 DOS version.
My problem now is the software.
I hope you can help with this.
Thanks Again.

The warning appears before the game loads and whenever I go back to the main menu.

Arcade OS 1.1 DOS version.
ArcadeOS doesn't have a publicly available 1.1 version available (nor do I have it).
What version of Mame are you using?
