Title: Anyone know how to permanently turn off the crosshairs in MAME????

Instead of opening my cabinet to hit F1 on the keyboard every time I want to play a lightgun game, is there a setting to permanently toggle those crosshairs off?

Specs: MAME v.105b

This thread has a source code diff that will implement a number of tweaks including setting crosshairs to default to off.    You have to compile to implement it though...
