Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to share with you all the begins of a game I working on, made for PC arcades. Its going to be a 3D 3rd person shooter, allowing up to 4 players at a time to play. To give everyone an Idea here is the first pic of an alpha build of the game. Just a side note this is a very early alpha but I wanted to get some feed back on the general primis.

Well my first suggestion would be to put up some sort of instruction manual.
Visually it looks very nice but all I could figure out in terms of controls was movement (wasd, which btw is not the default of 99% of the mame cabs out there)

Nice Graphics and look.
I could only move with wasd, wich is not normal with mame cabinets. It should rather being mame defaults and/or remappable controls. It the same as Howard said.
A Another thing about scrolling:
When it scrolling, you have not a change, what it would happens forward, since your man is near on the end before it scroll. It should actuelly allways put him on the center of the screen.
The best is the man was on the top of the screen, when you walk down, and the other way (and the same on right/left). Many 2d platformes does this way.

Thank you all for the replys.
To address movement, yes I know mame doesn't default to the wasd moment formate and for later release I will be using the standard main layout for key mapping (also in the options for the game custom key mapping will be avaible). As for this release other then movment to fire use the "h" key. Random yes I know but as for now it is easy to test with.

Yes this is the way the camera was set up so that when you have two plus players playing at a time the camera isn't just center only on player one. This allows for all the players to have a greater range of movement when only using one view window.

I would like to make a suggestion about the direction of the game (which you probably don't want to hear).
If you are planning of basically making a "death match" style game, just with different camera angles, that might not be so much fun. But the layout reminds me of smash tv.... a co-op smash-tv like game would be very fun. Just a suggestion. Keep plugging at it and keep us posted.

no suggestions are Great! And just so you I'm not making another "death match" style game. This is going to be something more along the lines of a "co-op smash-tv" style game. With a little more of a plot ; ) and more diverse levels.

Well, I think it looks great so far!
We need games like this....normal PC games will have that 'exit to windows'
button:)
I've just tried it, and the FIRST thing that comes to mind is COMMANDO!! Yes, single
player game either fixed on player or on a map....'COMMANDO 2006' :):):)
