Title: Optipac with 4 rotary devices?
Post by: ItzMR2u on March 20, 2003, 03:15:14 pm
I have 2 optical joysticks and 1 trackball and 1 spinner.  If I hook up the trackball and the 2 joysticks to their respective connections on the Optipac that leaves me with the Player 2 Trackball connection for the spinner.  If I hook up the spinner there will I be able to use it for 1 player games even though it's connected at the player 2 spot?  Do I need to run a certain version of Mame to accomplish this set up with the Optipac?  Thanks for any help.

Yes, windows see those as one.
Or you could wire the spinner to rotory 1 with the rotory joystick.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a trackball, two optical sticks, and two spinners. I had planned on hooking up the trackball, then wiring P1 stick and P1 spinner to X2, the P2 stick and P2 spinner to Y2.

I think I may need MAMEAnalog+. Does this sound like it will work?

So the mameanalog+ will covert the vertical axis to a horizontal one so both the spinner and the optical joystick will work properly?

analog mame allows you to split mouse axis.  also in windows98 it alows you have mroe than one mouse device.
