Title: Looking for some confirmation on power supply pinouts
Post by: NightGod on September 16, 2006, 11:04:15 pm
I bought a Peter Chou switching PSU to replace the power board in my Gorf cab, but am not 100% sure on converting from the original 19 pin wire harness to the switcher. If anyone has experience with converting a Gorf (or any cab, really) to a switching PSU and could verify the below listed pinouts, especially the stuff in italics, I would greatly appreciate it! The top is what is listed in the original docs, the bottom is my best guess on how to connect it.

1   +V Audio (~13V @ 1.5A)
2   -5V @ 0.45A
3   +V Independent [~10V @ 3.5A, to coin door and control lights]
4   !Reset
5   V.Batt?
6   Key
7   +12V @ 1.45A
8   +12V @ 1.45A
9   -Sense
10  AC Sync?
11  -V Independent
12  -V Audio
13  Gnd
14  Gnd
15  Gnd
16  Gnd
17  Coin Counter Drivers (~8V, unreg +5V) [from coin meter]
18  +5V @ 3A
19  +5V @ 2A regulated for logic

1       +12 on switching PS
2       -5 volts on switching PS
3       12 on switching PS
4       reset--  +5 volts on switching PS
5       not used?
6       key
7       +12 on switching PS
8       +12 on switching PS
9       -sense --ground on switching ps
10      not used?
11      ground on switching ps
12      ground on switching ps
13-16   common for all regulated outputs
17      +5 or 12 on switching PS - unsure if this should be +12 or +5, since original was unreg +5 and ran about 8V
18      +5 volts on switching PS
19      +5 volts on switching PS
