Title: converting vcd(.dat) to mp3

Dear people,
i'd firstly like to ask for forgiveness for asking such a dumb question.I am not technically adept and hence the question.
here goes

is there an easy way of converting/extracting the audio from vcd's(.dat format) to mp3 so i can use it in sk jukebox?
is there any software that can do it and that is free to use?please help if you can

if this guide is too complicated, you can search for another on the same website, seriously the best collection of software and guides for any type of video conversion I have come accross
