Where are you located?
-
St louis area
-
:dunno
-
I might be interested in a PS2 (assuming they're non-slimline) if you decide to break up the lot-wouldn't need any controllers or cords. Any idea what you are going to be asking for them?
-
There hasnt been much interest in these so I guess ill get them ready for ebay thanks
wonders if i should mod the saturns and psx's before i sell them
not sure worth getting the mods
-
I would definately be interested in the saturn especially if it was modded. Im located in IL & work in St. louis. I could pick it up. What do you want for it modded?
-
how much for the n64 w/ expansion?
-
If you mod them you can't put them on Ebay.
-
I live in St. Louis and would be interested in the PS2 for some boxing game my wife is raving about. You already have it on Ebay? If so, whats the link?
-
havent put them on ebay yet
I have no idea what anything here is worth
have not paid much attention to what they have been selling for
as far as modded systems cant be on ebay have seen many xboxs and ps2s modded
not saturns or ps1s
-
They get yanked. If they don't get yanked the seller is just lucky and went under the radar. Ebay does not allow modded systems.
A model 2 Saturn is about $20-25... the mod chip is about the same, so a modded Saturn usually goes around $65-70 before shipping. That's the cost of the system + mod board + a little skilled labor.
-
seems im getting alot more pm's so ill leave here for while longer
so far
both ps2's
both 64's
1 nes 2 gen
1 saturn
have seen interest
-
last saturn mod chip i bought was $12 lol they went up a little
-
Eh, depends who you buy from and where you have to ship.
-
i bought my last one from jandaman i think it was

anyone have a nice trumpet with case they like to trade lol for some of this stuff?????
would need trumpet by next thurs fig it was worth a shot
dang kid wants to go into band and new $110 shipped about the cheapest i can find on ebay
-
Check with the school-at mine they have a lease to own program that only ends up costing like $10 more than buying it outright, and they include replacement insurance, bi-yearly preventative maintainance checks and if they kid drops out of band, they'll take it back and call it even with whatever you've paid up to that point. I think it costs us like $15 a month for a year for a new trombone (got my daughter's flute on the cheap from a friend) and the insurance/maintainance lasts as long as he's in band in the district.
-
they want $50 upfront and $35 month for $600 worth of payments or $500 for used
other place wanted $45 month for $600 used so um not an option there
so was looking at ebay found cheap ones i mean if he sticks with mayeb get a $600 lol but um
100ish more my price range with his baby brother on way not sure $35 a month will be there
thanks tho

Jesus...your music store sucks ass LOL

remember - you get what you pay for. A $100 brand new trumpet is a joke. They have these at the front of the store at Wal-mart. Just fine for a 6th grader, but if the kid gets serious about music, you'll have to upgrade. BTW, trombone all the way. ;D
-
well I thought as much but I doubt he sticks with and for price of rentals i might as well buy one lol
yeah when he said he was to go for band i thought $10 a month give take but um $35 no
and Wallmart would be easier lol but they dont have at my Wallmart pawn shops want 200+ for same names and ver I can get on ebay for $100
since I need one by next thursday ill have to go with a cheapy
I mean hes in 4th grade isnt liek he is in need of a $600 trumpet

It's for a kid that has probably about a 50-50 shot of putting it down in a month and never touching it again. The $100 is a good hedge against it. If the kid sticks with it a year, then get the real trumpet.
-
I have 3 trumpets.Here's why...
Get your kid the cheapy simply because he is a 4th grader. He'll beat the hell out of it for the next 4 years if he sticks to music. Then get him a mid range horn for marching band, cause he'll beat the hell out of it in marching band. Then get him a nice silver-plate concert horn, that he'll take care of cause now he *might* be old enough to understand the value of a nice instrument.

Yeah I was thinking that would be about how it goes
That is why I cant see paying a crap load for a 4th graders trumpet so ill go with cheapy for now
thanks for the info all it has reinforced what i was thinking
-
Odds are it will be stolen eventually, too. At least once. Or he'll leave it at the bus stop.
-
OK well thanks for info all
I bought him a black selman from eBay lol he wanted black for some reason
owell hope they don't screw around i need it by Thurs
what really messed up is if meeting was Monday night why he needs it by next Thurs
you think they give little more time here
shakes head

i played trumpet when i was in grade school. wanted drums but didnt get it so i went with an instrument i had already. it belonged to my dad which is why i choose it for my second pic. i only wanted drums in case i ever wanted to join or start a band. i even had the trumpet refinished. i quit maybe 5 or 6 months in. i just couldnt get enough practice in so i figured school work was more important not just then but in the long run. if i had stuck with it id have played in high school meaning hours of band comps, marching band, concerts, parades, and practice during school.
im still going to keep the trumpet and maybe ill pick it up again in life but the main thing for you to enforce is practice. i had to keep a journal of how long i practiced and on what days. i think it was at least an hour a day.
chad when is it going to be stolen? and i think the violin is far more useful than the trumpet. think about it what if you need the sadest song ever boom there you go. and three days to get the instrument isnt enough. it seems like they want to force you into getting it through the school.
-
Pretty sure he means next Thursday, which gives him about a week. Plenty of time if the seller ships quickly.
-
your right. i guessed i missed the next.
-
three days to get the instrument isnt enough. it seems like they want to force you into getting it through the school.
to me it seemed that way still only giving a little over a week to get a instrument is BS
well if he wanted flute they start Monday so would only had 6 days to get that seems band teacher getting kick backs or something lol
At this time he seems excited about it so I hope he likes it and stick with for while ....did not stick with baseball long
I will see

I didn't give my kids a choice-when they came and said they wanted to do band, I told each of them "If you sign up for this, you're sticking with it at least three years-be absolutely sure about it". My daughter tried to gimp out of it this year (sixth grade), but we make her go. Honestly, once the school year gets started up again, she loves it, it's just that first week each year that's a ---smurfette--- to get them to go-she tried the same thing for fifth grade, too, and ended up making first chair for the junior band.
It not only protects your investment in the instrument, it's a good life lesson for them. I know my mom let me drop out of band after a few weeks in 4th grade and I still regret it, if nothing else I would have really learned to read music.
