Title: Car amp powered by a pc psu

Hey! I know youve heard this tons of times... 

I have a car amp, and i got instructions on how to wire it in, but i cant get 18 gauge wire in the uk.  What type of wire is this? Is it the same wire as the wires coming from the psu?  Also, is it safe to have this powered from the psu im going to use to power the computer aswell?
