Quick question I have a nice 4 player cab but I have wanted to tackle a mame sit down driving cab, I have not been able to locate a old generic to convert & due to work, family cannot find time to build from scratch, mameroom use to offer plans but they are gone, I have seen one company that offers a mame sit cab for hold your breath $5,999.00 ouch nice but its not in the budget, so kits or plans im open for whatever would appreciate opinions, I would be open to paying someone to build a kit. So it could be assembled in my game room.
thanks

Mameroom offered to cut me a arcade driving kit for $600.00 plus $125.00 shipping, I asked for a picture he does not have the plans on his site anymore & I cannot find a picture anywhere but sounds like a descent deal.

Mameroom.com sent me a link to the driving cab kit, this is pretty nice I want to go this route due to I can build it in place...
Im thinking of building 3 controls panels 1 for mame racing, 1 for space-star wars & 1 for xbox what do you guys think

$600 almost sounds like a deal for that thing. Did he say what it would be cut out of for that price? MDF or black melamine (sp?)

Wondering if plans are good enough on this or if templates would be better?
Anyone here ever build one of these?
-
Its the same as the ultimate arcade II, the black melamine, I built the Ultimate arcade II & the jukebox, the templates are very helpful

If I had the room, I'd be all over that kit. Let us know how it turns out. Oh, and why did they remove it from their website?
-
I would bet it was a poor seller due to its size.....Not that it costs anything to keep it on the site though.
-
I have worked with mameroom.com before when they make kits they concentrate on 1 at a time & i saw a note somewhere that due to demand for the poker tables a lot of things had been shelved, this is prob not a huge seller due to its size, scott said it would take a few days they are writing the program for the cnc, im sure he's wanted to do this anyway just to offer in the future.

I'm currently working on a set of plans that mimic the Crazy Taxi cabinet...I wanna build one outta MDF, throw a 25-27" TV and one of my many Dreamcasts in it and have a dedicated Crazy Taxi 1/2 machine.
I'll post links when it's done (I'm about 55% completed).
