Well, folks it's been a while!
I'm trying to get my computer set back up, and ran into a small problem. I can get SNES games to work fine through MESS. When I try to run SNES through MAMEWAH they won't load. I've gone over everything a million times and can't figure this out.
Can someone give me a hand?
Here is the MAMEWAH.INI for my SNES setup:

What exactly do you type to launch a game from a commandline?
-
G:\MESS\mess.exe snes -nonewui -cart "g:\mess\software\snes\ACTRAISER (U).zip"
I did copy and paste this from the MAMEWAH log, but I tried it in the command line first.
It gave me an error and said it could not find my spc700.rom, and dsp1data.bin files. I don't understand this error. I have both of those files and they are in a .ZIP folder labeled "snes", and that is in the "bios" folder in M.E.S.S.
The games work fine if I start up in the M.E.S.S. gui and run them through there. I'm not running MESS0108b since it has got a few bugs right now. I can't find a log in M.E.S.S. that shows how the FE is loading the games. Otherwise I'd just duplicate that in the Command line format in the .ini file in MAMEWAH. Also, my Sega Genesis games and NES games load up through MAMEWAH and the command line is identical except the folders the roms are in.
To me everything looks correct.

How about Mess's mess.ini file...do you need to specify the bios roms path?
I am not the best person to help here as I don't use Mess, but it sounds like a Mess configuration issue to me, as I do know it functions very similarly to Mame.

I don't understand most of this. The thing I can't get my head around is that I can start the games in MESS with no problem. That is how I have MAMEWAH set up is to go to the mess.exe and run the game. But it comes up with an error going through MAMEWAH. In MESS I do have the NES, SNES and Sega pointing to the folder with the BIOS to run the games.
You won't believe this!.......While I was answering this you got me thinking. I've spent the last 20 minutes going over everything. I noticed in the .ini I just posted to you that the Bios path was not set. (which in the NES.ini it was) So, I set it to where it needed to go. That did not change anything. I thought maybe the way I set things up, and having re-installed the BIOS's that I had because they were bad, I had goofed something up. I figured I would delete the snes.ini, that was somehow made, and see if MESS would generate a new one. Well, it didn't. BUT I did try to run the games in MAMEWAH and it works now! So, wherever that snes.ini came from it was hosing up the works. I actually didn't need it and now I can play SNES through MAMEWAH!
Thanks for getting me looking in the right place! Again you've been a big help. (I don't know if you remember working with me on the Arcade Music Jukebox issue I had almost a year ago.)
Thanks again Minwah!!!
