Title: LS-30 rotator joysticks

First of all, I would like to say that I have been working on arcade games for about 5 years.  I have also been a member of the KLOV message board for longer than that.  It also happens that I am one of the moderators on that board.  In all that time, it has somehow never occured to me to post on this board.  Also, in all that time, I have somehow managed to have hardly ever dealt with LS-30 joysticks.

What I have is a working Time Soldiers board and two LS-30 joysticks (working status unknown).  What I don't have is the cable that connects the rotation switch to the PCB.  Are the connectors wired straight across pin for pin?  If not, does anyone have a diagram of how they are wired?  If not that, does anyone actually have cables that they do not need?

Just to let you know, that link doesn't answer the question, that link says how to make an interface to hook it up to MAME, not how to connect the original arcade joysticks to the orginal arcade PC board.

Hey Oregon Pacman, I remember you from KLOV.  Welcome.

There are 13 pins on the connector, and they ALMOST wire straight across.  There is one pin that changes position.  If you hold the joystick upside down, so the handle is pointing at the ground and the pins are pointing at your gut, label the pins 1-13 from left to right.  Pin #7 (the middle one) moves to the #13 position at the other end of the harness, and pins 8-13 all move down one position.  I haven't checked, but I'd be willing to bet that's the common ground pin.

Like so:

1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9   10  11  12  13  (joystick)
1   2   3   4   5   6   8   9  10  11  12  13   7   (PCB)

Or at least, that's the way it is on my Bermuda Triangle machine.

Thanks to everyone who replied.  Also, thank you Kremmit.  I should be able to wire that up without much trouble.  I have some similar looking harnesses but not sure if they are right.  If not, I should able able to hack them the right way.  I've had that Time Soldiers board sitting around so long that I can't remember when I got it anymore.  Now that I finally have a cabinet to put it in, it sure would be nice to be able to make use of it.
