well i put a usb extension cable from the pc to the front of my cab so i could plug a solo joystick in it for a handycap man so he could play also.i choosed the xarcade for the joystick,but now im regreting this.
when i plug the joystick into the cable i get a usb not reconized error..but then i plug the stick into the pc it self.and it works fined so im asuming that the sticks not geting enough power to fuction. im stuck on this im asking for advice what to do..im thinking of geting a i-pac and just putting that into the box it self and use the same buttons that in there already..but im up for anymore suggestings? :censored:

how about plugging it into a powered USB hub?

thanks for the repley :) the cable is powerd into the back of the motherboard.(one the usb ports). so im sure that it is powered..
hmmm..im also thinking about getting one of those duel usb's that have the extra contecter for power

I was told shortly after I got my X-Arcade by their support that it won't work on USB unless you have their USB adapter.

weird, it works on but only when its connected directly to the usb port on the mobo, and i have the usb connecter.hmmm ahhh

You want an Active USB 2.0 cable, not a cheapy regular one. Something like this (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1216703&CatId=77). These (and powered USB hubs) actively refresh the signal rather than just make the cable longer-I've got a USB device on a 15 foot active extension cable that simply won't work on a regular one past 10 feet.

yes, if it is plugged into the motherboard, it is getting power, but what I am suggesting, is connect a powered USB hub to the motherboard and then plug the x-arcade into that. that would get you the extra distance, but should give you a better signal.
