Title: mame im a newbiee how on earth does it work

hi im new to MAME and for the life of me cant figure out how it works.

what operatin system do i need and where is the best place to download it for that operating system

i need to try and get hold of the original arcade version of crystal maze whats best to play that and where can i get both of these items

Answering your questions in order. 

1.  Rtfm. 

2.  Almost any os runs mame.  www.mame.net (this is where the manual is btw)

3.  NO ROM REQUESTS  Also I've never heard of crystal maze. It isn't listed on klov and it isn't in mame.  Crystal Castles perhaps?

i no what you mean about crystal castles but no thats not the game im after that the atari one isn't it

It's a UK pub quiz game...crap :P ;D  I would try www.ebay.co.uk - these kindof games come up a lot.

 :soapbox: ok i no its utter crap ok but i got this cab and fought well i will put the original game in it and a lot of realy good trackball games to compensate so dont shout at me !!!! shout at channel 4 :soapbox:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with minwah expressing his opinion of the game as long as he is also willing to help you (which he did).  Be a little more grateful next time.

What are you trying to do with this machine?  In one thread you want to mame it, in this thread you want the original board.
