Title: Incomplete MCA joysticks
Post by: Scumgriever on September 06, 2006, 12:45:04 pm
Hi all,

I was just having a look around for parts and came across these 'incomplete MCA joysticks' there are no more details than see picture for details. as far as I can see its just the restrictor plate thats missing. Am I right?

Will they still feel right without it?
Obviously they will be 8 way but the normal restrictor plates even for 8 way still have notches, this seems like it would make it feel different but to tell the truth I havent checked if the restrictor plate even touches the joystick in 8 way mode.
Does anyone know off the top of their head?

I would ask what exactly is missing.

PS: I have a red one like that, I have no need for it.

Yeah I have to agree, it looks like just the restrictor plate is missing.  The switches are there, as is the rubber grommet on the shaft.

Ring them and ask.  I highly doubt they would be selling sticks without the innards that make them work (ie: springs or the rubber stoppers inside).  If it's just a restrictor plate missing, that's no biggie if you're an 8-way player.
