Title: IS THERE USB LOVE IN THE COMMAND LINE VERSION OF MAME107B.EXE
Post by: BamBam on September 03, 2006, 08:53:09 am
Hi Fellow Arcader Builders,

I have been using AtomicFE with mame32v1.07 and have enjoyed support for my USB Logitech Rumble Pad on my main computer.  I recently heard that I should not be using mame32 with another FE as it (mame32) is considered to be an FE itself and may be taking up additonal resources on my system.  I have never noted any problems, but thought I would try a few different things.

I downloaded the latest build of MaLa (where has it been all my life) and mame107b.exe.  I can get everything to work fine, but I can't seem to get my USB mouse (aka standby trackball) and my USB Logitech Rumblepad 2 (aka temp arcade controls) to work.  This is not going to be permanent, but I like to do all of my trouble shooting etc. on my main computer before I set it up on my arcade, which has joysticks, buttons etc. wired through a PS2 iPac4, along with a Happs USB trackball and PS2 Tornado spinner.

My concern is that if I can't get these USB devices to work, what are the chances of my spinner and trackball not working on my arcade?

I am considering on switching Mala to run on mame32107.exe as a fix.  Somebody stop me   ;)

John
