I have made significant changes to ArcadeTokens.com. (http://www.arcadetokens.com)
Best of all - New merchandise!
1) Arcade Themed Beer mugs, (http://www.arcadereplay.com/index.php?cPath=24) on order arriving in a few weeks.
2) "Generic" Gaming tokens (http://www.arcadereplay.com/index.php?cPath=23) on order and also arriving in a few weeks. Generic (meaning no references to MAME or BYOAC) tokens have been discussed for a while, I finally bit the bullet and made the investment. Kudos to Pixelhugger for the great artwork as always.
3) We will have a few thousand more nickel Mame tokens in a few weeks as well. (edit - in hand now, ready for shipping.)
I also have other ideas for arcade-themed merchandise. I'd be glad to hear suggestions here also. I want to add more selection as time goes on.
Additionally I have added Arcade Replay 'branding' to the site to coincide with our expansion outside of just tokens. I plan on having Arcadereplay.com and Arcadetokens.com pointing to the same store for the foreseeable future. Plus I had to make some use of that killer logo Pixel made for me last year, right?
On the downside, the mint raised prices a second time, and our prices reflect that.
And finally, I have added a full-blown store and cart system.
{note:If you have ordered 2006 BYOAC tokens and want to order some of the new "Arcade Memories" tokens on top of that order, I will refund duplicated shipping money if I am able to fit both of your orders in one package. Please be sure to include comments on your new token order so we know to make note of it! I am sorry, I cannot replace previously ordered tokens with the new ones because that would put me in the red on the 2006 BYOAC tokens. I just broke even on those.}

That is a nice design (as we should expect from PH) Time to start scrounging change to afford the mint's new picing.
Will a 100/100 assortment be available on the generic design?
-
HECK YEAH, Santoro!
I'll take a batch of everything you've got. Now I need to start a BYOTD (build your own token dispenser) thread for all these tokens I will have.

Sure, I will add that later today. I just forgot it. I'll do the same for the '06 tokens.

What a great idea! I just have mine in a brass urn next to the machine...

Done. Thanks.

I love those mugs. On the Xmas list. Are they now part of your regular stock, or are they a limited-time offer type of thing?
As far as other arcade-themed items, how about:
1) Coasters
2) Token buckets
3) Bottles of mustard
Site looks great man.

...
2) Token buckets
...
YES! The goldfish bowl is cool, but an arcade-branded token-bucket would be great! :D
Thanx!

I intend to keep stock. I have ordered a bunch and had no orders yet, so I may have stock for many years to come whether I want it or not. :)
-
I'd definately buy a token bucket or two if you offered them.
-
Gotta say I never used token buckets. I assume they were cardboard - or plastic?
-
I want a BYOAC mug. What was the minimum on printing mugs. Can we have a 2006 mug contest? Heck, lets just colorize the design from the token and use that. Even more heck, lets just use the blinged up version in greyscale and use that.
(Everyone interested start chanting) B... Y... OAC... B... Y... OAC...B... Y... OAC... B... Y... OAC...B... Y... OAC... B... Y... OAC...
 <-- see even the smileys want BYOAC mugs.

Well, I'm thinking of the things inside of aracade games that tokens/coins drop into-they were square hard plastic containers, also called a coin box. Here is what I'm talking about (http://www.happcontrols.com/cc/42060500.htm)-the plastic piece there in the midde. Also here for a slightly more simplified version (http://www.happcontrols.com/cc/42110210_mounting.htm) I'm thinking black or white with a gold logo on them would be pretty sweet looking. I'd definately get two-one for inside the cab (there's nothing like plastic to get that arcade "thunk" when the coin drops in) and one outside to hold the tokens for use.
-
Oh I see, storage buckets. I thought maybe some old arcades gave you buckets kind of like the casinos do.
I will take a look around to see what's out there. I use one of the jars below myself, maybe something like that with some arcade art on the side? Why would you want a customized token bucket for inside the cab?
(jfunk, Mustard, is this what you guys were referring to?)

Something like that, yup :) Right now, I just use this goldfish-bowl-looking-thing that I bought while being tortured being bored accompanying my wife on one of her craft store excursions..
But it's looking like this latest order of tokens coming to me might overflow it :) Always looking at options :) I just like having something sitting on my CP or nearby that people can easily reach into and grab some tokens...
No big if it's a hassle, obviously, but might be cool. I've seen some threads on here where people have asked what others do to hold their tokens...
Thanx!
-
Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. Something that can always be out, look nice, and not get any complaints from the wife.
I'd definitely buy one.

Be sure to let us all know when these are in stock. I will be buying some when they arrive. As always, thanks a heap for bringing us this great arcade bling, man. ;D

Stingray didn't notice this thread until I changed the topic to include BEER MUGS. Very telling, that is.

The number of BYOACers who are suprised by this revelation: zero. ;D

Because I am lazy and would just swap the one on the inside with the one on the outside when it was time. Like I said, I would get two of them. Though I like your customized candy jar idea, as well.
-
Get some shot glasses too!!

That's what she said.
