Title: mala and mame intro videos(weird)

ok im having the stranges promblem with my playback on the mame intro videos..
first mala wasnt playing them i thought i need a codec installed so got a codec got the videos to play through
windows media palyer then tried mala again no luck. so i thought i should update the drivers for my geforce 6100(here comes the weird part) uninstalled the driver(used driver cleaner)then rebooted.then(keep in mind im using mala as a shell then mala opens and what do i see the intro vids playing with no graphic drivers..so i updated the drivers and guess what they wouldnt play?
so i tryed my other card i had laying around its a ati radeon x1300, unistalled the drivers for the geforce
installed the card started it up mala pops up with the vids palying(because there no drivers) installed the ati drivers then restarted mala pops up and same no vids????? :banghead: why is it when theres drivers installed the damn things wont play? im lost maybe i forgot something,mala is set up to the tee
everthing fine its just that those damn videos wont play when any sort of graphic drivers are installed..
aahahahhhhhhhhhhaaa...

Ok I would start troubleshooting by removing mala as the shell (pretty easy)

Then see if you still have problems

Other things to try is adding a delay to mala booting up by adding time to the splash screen display. I have a 7 sec delay so that windows loads properly (options-gui-display)

ok i ruled out its has to do with mala? i installed a few other fe and there all giving me the same promblem.
so hmm im trying to think what it could be?whats the proper codec for the intro vids?
any other thoughts

hmm, i installed the xid codec and it palyed but mala freezes and wont work i have to right click and get to exit?
and games ex just crashes also..hmm i dont no.lol

Have you tried another Video?  Like a different type by a diffrent author?  If that works you could possibly convery your vids?

Better still send me the vid or tell me where to get it and I will have a go!

OK I got your Vid

I had it play on Startup.

I also copied and renamed it so it would play for a few selections

I could not make it fail
