Title: whats the name for monitor video plug?
Post by: stevejt on September 01, 2006, 02:06:15 pm
What is the term for this type of plug so I can order some?  And is there a specific name for the pins that are in it?  As they are flat and not round...

Thanks!

Steve

Those are Molex "K.K." series (flat wafer) with .156 inch spacing.

Typical ones used on monitors are these:

Molex # 09-50-7061 (female 6 pin, no locking ramp)

Molex # 09-50-7031 (female 3 pin, no locking ramp)

Molex # 09-50-7101 (female 10 pin, no locking ramp)

Pins that fit these are:

Molex # 08-50-0108 for 22 to 26 gauge wire

Molex # 08-50-0106 for 18 to 20 gauge wire

Bob Roberts sells these connectors as does Mouser Electronics (www.mouser.com). If order from Mouser, just prefix all the Molex part numbers with 538- to get the Mouser stock number.
