Title: Happ controls dual pedals... one POT and one switch?
Post by: TroyO on September 01, 2006, 01:39:52 pm
I just got a Happ pedal control set, the gas is POT based, the brake is a microswitch.

Is it worth upgrading the microswitch side to a POT as well? (The POT is $12 and the gear like $3 plus shipping... figure $20 total.) I understand some driving games use analogue on the brake, but is that very common? Also, it would still play with a  microswitch, right? Just the brakes are either slammed or not on at all... does that totally wack gameplay?

On a side note... isn't it cool when "stuff" starts showing up? Who says adults don't have X-mas.. LOL!

I probably wouldn't waste time replacing the brake with a pots. The gas definetly needs to be pots for some games, but the brake is rarely used and when it is - you stomp it.

That's kinda what I figured.... why bother with brakes? LOL.... I think I'll leav eit to the switch... I can always upgrade later if I find it's a problem.
