Title: Horizontal Push Button Differences

Would anyone happen to know what the differences are between the push buttons sold from different vendors such as Ultimar/Slikstik/Happ. They certainly look the same but the prices don't. Slikstik's price for both regular and player 1-4 buttons seem to be quit a bit cheaper.

Any ideas?

Feel, spring quality, cheap vs good plastic, microswitch quality.

Stick with Happ/IL branded buttons, they're the same thing you see in the typical arcade these days.

I guess I'll stick with Ultimarc then since

It's just too bad I couldn't get it all from ultimarc. It would save the hassle of having to get my spinner from one place, my trackball and bezel from another etc, etc. Last time around was a real pain and cost quite a bit more in shipping fees.  :'(

Make sure you spend the extra dime or so to upgrade the Ultimarcs to the Cherry switches, it's worth the money.

Have you checked with one of the sellers in the BST thread? Divemaster and Ponyboy buy from multiple vendors and charge really nice prices and you'll have combined shipping.

I really like my sanwas, they are made for japanese machines so they fit 30mm holes not 28mm holes but the microswitch is built right into the button. This means almost no travel (time before press is registered) and they don't make a click sound. Around 2 dollars each.

That's what I thought until recently. But apparently not all the Happ buttons are manufactured by IL.
