Hey people I am on some heavy pain killers for a pinched siatic(sp?) nerve :dizzy:. So if I am blabbing like an idiot its because of the pain killers!
Here is where I am.....
I am using MAMEWAH 1.61 and have moded alot of the INI's that CPViewer has for 1.62B10. I also use all of the Emulators that CPViewer hosts for the given system.
I use Romcenter 1.7 to fix and clean up the roms. Great tool I have gotten ALL but 2 of the NEO GEO roms working in Nebula 2.25. I even managed to get Nebula 2.25 to start with MAMEWAH.
I have figured out basicly how to butch together an INI so MAMEWAH can load most of the emulators that "CPViewer" was kind enough to host. Is that John? Man he is my HERO.
OK 2 questions for you Guru's....
You guys are all operating at 100% I am way down there wondering what 2+2 equals so just bear with me! I have tried to navigate a Galaxy of info on this incredible database of information and its like trying to teach a pitbull(me) physics.
1. How do I get MAMEWAH to list the game name in the list ie. "cryptkilr" to "Crypt Killer"?
I am guessing that its the XML stuff but I just don't understand it. Can anyone give me a basic "How it works?" I know you people may think wow thats easy but I just get lost. It seems most of the tools I find are really fantastic but for the most part they are geared more for someone who has been playing with MAME for years not weeks!
2. I tried MAMEWAH 1.62B10 and I made a huge mess! I went back to 1.61. So my question is If I get all the INI's, EMUS, Layouts and CPV2 with Mamewah 1.62B12 should it all just come together? I know I will have to set the paths for my emulators and roms. It just seems like a perfect plan. I unfortunately made a complete mess.
I appreciate your patience! I

What emu is displaying the rom name instead of the game name. The simplest solution i've found is for emu's that are not mame is to download the respective dat file for it. http://www.logiqx.com/Dats/
Then just change your ini to look like this (of course use your own paths)
### List Generation Settings ###
rom_path H:\Winkawaks\roms
rom_extension zip
dat_file H:\Winkawaks.dat
nms_file
catver_ini_file
list_generation_method rom_folder_vs_dat_file
