Title: driving cab questions
Post by: slug54 on August 26, 2006, 04:40:08 pm
Hey guys, been a long time since I posted, I finnished my cab a couple years ago and everthing is working well.

I am thinking of building another cab with removeable dual driving wheels and I have a few questions.

1:) are there enough dual player driving games to justify this? either   mame , PC or console.

2:) any wheel recomendations preferably with pedals and shifter?

3:) I have been away for a while is there any good way to connect a console
to a PC monitor ? I will be using a Sony 21" monitor.

4:) Is there one console that has more/better driving games? I took a look around and it seems like PS2 had a larger selection.

Thanks for any input you may have, And it's good to see that a lot of the
people that were posting when I built my cab in '02 are still active on this board.

I'm thinking of doing a driving cab using consoles but i'm stuck between 3 consoles and cant decide.  I want the xbox for the great games and graphics, a ps2 for gran turismo and that awesome ff wheel, and then theres the good ol dreamcast with great arcade racers like hydro thunder, sega rally, crazy taxi, and others....Oh the decisions...

Don't the Midway compilations for the XBox have some of the arcade racers, like Hydro Thunder, Hard Drivin', Rush: The Rock, etc?

Yes, between Midway Arcade Treasures 2 and 3, and they are all playable with the xbox fanatec speedster wheel.
