So far we have no countermeasures for this device. It is going to cause a lot of casualties:

now if all the bad guys turn into mice we have it made... but what to use for bait?   ak47? ammo?

As you can see from the picture it's baited with beer.

It also looks like the trap is in a permanent "set" position.  So the Taliban failed again.

Regardless...boy would that hurt.
