Title: RCA Jack for speakers, which is positive which is negative??

On an RCA style plug for speakers, which is the + and which is the - (positive or negative) ?

Outside is negative.  At least on every one I've ever wired up :)

Yep, what Zakk said.  The center pin is positive, the outer ring is negative (or ground).

I third this!  FYI, this is pretty much the case in most cables (for instance, in coax the outer screwed part is ground, and the same with svideo, usb, etc)
