Hold the fort, boys----there's a new monitor manufacturer just coming onto the scene. Just got a sales flyer from Amusements Plus in Rochester, New York (1-800-377-7729 or 585-244-2420).
This new monitor is a 24.8" universal frame TRI-MODE (CGA, EGA, and VGA) & auto switching. Made by Nieman Video on sale at Amusements Plus for $499 until September 30. Amusement Plus' part number for this monitor is NVD4324.

Thanks for the heads up Ken! That is great news for those of us who are starting to have a hard time finding replacement monitors.

Wow, that's just about perfect sized! Tempted, so very tempted
-
Perfect replacement for anyone who needs a 25" medium res. Especially good for Crusin' USA games.
-
heya, anyone know if the mounting holes are the same distance as wells gardner? sharp image used to make monitors but they didnt line up at all and had to make new holes in frame...not fun!! sbm

Did anyone score up one of these? I've been interested in a nice 25", but would love to hear some experiences on this one.

I've gotten two already, I'd been on AP's waiting list for them and they shipped them right out a few weeks ago when they got the first batch in.
Yes, it's a direct bolt-in for a 25.
It's a flat screen (the tube face is flat), so if it's going into a game that had a plastic monitor bezel your bezel won't fit for crap.
Out of the box the geometry was wacked, but there is ample adjustments and I had it looking good in no time.
Overall the picture was nice, although the convergance could have been a little tighter along the edges of the tube IMO. I didn't touch the convergance (yet)
The first one is already out in a game (a Cruisin' USA), the second is mounted in a cab waiting for a Carnival King kit to arrive. Once I get the second one running with the shooter kit I'll post back more.
