What's with Space Ranger? I can't find any info on it on KLOV or anywhere else. Supposedly a game released before Space Invaders?

You should MAME that thing!!
-
The only thing I can tell you is that the game playing on it is NOT the space ranger in mame.
It's working and it appears to be in great shape. Buy the looks of those crazy controls, I'd say it's a prototype. So don't mame it. ;)

What manufacturer and date information does the title screen or attract mode give you?
Is there any other info on the game pcb or cabinet iself?
Very interesting.....
-
WEIRD. I have photos of that exact same cabinet, but in the instruction area, and on the screen, the game is called Moon Lander.

That looks like a hack of Lunar Rescue to me.
Very interesting looking cab BTW.

Ok, well.... what do you guys think? cuz I got this guy wants to get rid of it... CHEAP.
oh, and i definately been looking for a cocktail to MAME!
Ok so apparently Taito released three titles in the same cabinet in 1980? I found one of them on KLOV: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=M&game_id=8746
Moon Lander. Why the others arent on KLOV, I have no idea.
I wonder if it would be worthwhile to snag this baby?

If an oldie like that works, please don't mame it.
-
If you do get it; dump it and submit it to the MAMEDEV's.
Also find out if it has/had a colored overlay. If you look at the flyer on my above post, it looks like it had one...Astro Laser in MAME has yet to incorporate this feature. Space Ranger and Moon Lander have yet to be dumped.

I sincerely hope you are kidding.
In case you aren't that cocktail isn't really mame-able anyway as it doesn't have a control panel.
