Williams made my favorite all time game in Defender, but the nod has to go to Atari for me! Often flirted with the idea of getting my first tattoo - it would have to be an Atari logo! :notworthy:
I chose to add Cinematronics to this list, even though they produced very few games, simply because of the superior titles Star Castle, Armor Attack and Rip-Off. That company doesn't get enough love!
BTW, if you vote for "other," please tell us who it is!

sega for me,consistantly good hardware and great games-a joy for us techs to work on-no silly itty bitty parts

Another great poll ...
I too almost voted Williams, then almost Midway, but looking at my wishlist I see more Atari than anything else ... so Atari it is.
Who doesn't want an original Gotcha cab ... if only for the controls ? ???
Cheers.

williams... because they made The Game,
the one against which all others pale in comparison.
you know, the one with the two 8-way joysticks... ;)
their pinballs were pretty good, too.

where's Namco in the list?
-
and konami? hehe, i know from setting up the occasional poll that you ALWAYS forget something! i cant pick a clear favourite although a few have said williams on the strength of two classic games. if i put my mame32 folder in most played order, then the top ten list is
stern- berserk
atari- asteroids
midway-space invaders (yeah, i know. but ive been experimenting with it)
namco-galaga
capcom-commando
namco-galaxian
mitchell-pang
capcom-1942
williams-robotron
sega-afterburner (mostly from experimenting with an analog gamepad, not playing as such)
konami, jaleco, taito and data east are close behind...

Good call on Namco. Major oversight. I removed Cinematronics :'( and added Namco.

Williams - Defender ;D

You should make it like 3 choices. I am a major fan of Williams and Atari. How does one choose?
You will still see a strong favor prefference if you allow more selections. Can you change it and let everyone rechoose?
-
Yeah... 3 choices would be good.
1) Atari
2) Williams
3) Midway

Poll closed. Restarted to allow multiple choices.
