Hi all!
Sorry if this is a dupe question. I saw a Arcade Legends cabinet yesterday - briefly - that appeared to have videos running in place of screenshots in the front end. Is this frontend available somewhere? Or even better yet, can Mamewah or another FE do the same thing yet?
thanks

Lol I think they all do that at this point.

Howard,
thanks for the quick reply, as I said I have been away from the setup of my cab and frontend for a couple years. Id like to update it to having videos instaid of screenshots. If thats true that most FE's support that, I cant find documentation on the Mamewah site, can someone direct me to a tutorial or something?
thanks again!

Check the wiki: http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Front-Ends
Far right column - all FE's that support videos will have "VID" in that column.

Gamecreature,
Thanks for the info! I now have to review the list and figure out which one to use. Ive been using mamewah for a couple years and its worked fine - once I got it configured, but change is a good thing.....especially if I can get vedos on the menu!!
So with that, I need opinions!! If someone is using an FE with videos enambled in the menu, PLEASE let me know which and what you think!
Thanks!!

MaLa... ;D
But I am a MaLa Freak so please do try the rest including Atomic and MameWah.

MaLa... ;D
It's what I use, but I suggest you do what I did and try all of the ones that interest you - hey, they're free. See which one works best for you.

well,
for the last 3 hours Ive been messing around with Mala. I REALLY like it! The only thing Im having problems with is in the layout designer - the layout works and looks great in the designer, but when I run it in Mala, the background picture dissapears. I have the resoulution fixed to 600x304 (where my arcade monitor likes it), is that causing a conflict? Anyone else have trouble with the background disapearing?
thanks!

By default mala expects any graphics used to be in a sub-directory of mala. The sub directory has to have the same name as the layout for mala to find it
or
You can uncheck the tickbox in options (see attached pic) then the graphics just need to be in the mala directory.
The 2nd method makes the directory a bit messy but is very simple way to get started for a beginner.

I use AtomicFE with Circo's videos - looks great! I'll never go back to screen shots again...
