I noticed the links to the different forums at the top are gone. Jumping from forum was so easy...what gives?

Worse.

Reason: now its even easier for people to bookmark the top page of the msg board on .org and not even see the rest of BYOAC faqs (the real meat of the website).  Yeah, I see the link at the top to BYOAC home, but without links to the faq sections, we are only going to see more and more people asking redunant questions already covered in the faq...or worse yet, new users not even aware there is comprehensive faq section.  IMHO.

They were moved to the navigation frame on the left.  My negative response above is about this frame now having no links to the rest of BYOAC site (futher de-emphesising the comprehensive FAQ sections which is the real meat of the site).

Agree.
Its not needed. You know..adding the forum list on the side bar.then you loose the other stuff like faq and all.

Other then that,GREAT  :o

The blue theme is cool and the side bar is all faded...PLAIN COOL !  :D.
Also I am able to move around the parent frame. :P
You could make it like guests cant do that...you know.
Its not noticeable but you(Saint) might have forgot about this.

Um, what sidebar?

EDIT: Nevermind what I said. I never knew about the rest of the site per se. It never occured to me that this board was part of the website!

It's what many people asked for... So I expect most will hate it.

I think alot of people have the board bookmarked or found it through Google and never knew that there was a website attached. You might want to check out This Hot New Website (http://www.arcadecontrols.com) as soon and as often as possible!

Thanks for proving my point jets. ;D  PJ, you could put some javascript in the board frame to make sure the nav frame is always loaded.  I think this has been a major problem with the site since it split onto to hosts (.com and .org).

Counter arguement: I prefer to browse the forum in it's own window; I don't go to the .com half while reading the forum, so the side bar would just be taking up space.  If I want to browse the .com half, I open it in it's own window (tab, actually; go mozilla!).  I don't think the site should be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator at the expence of the more seasoned people.

I prefer choices.  Instead of the above suggested script, how about a javascript that, if the forum is opened in a frame to .com, the links removed stay removed, but otherwise puts the links to the other parts in.  More work for you guys :-\ , and this is one of the best sites already; this is just a counter suggestion to Dave_K's, and I don't think neither needs to be done.

Thank you for bringing back the other forum links at the top of the page, that was really the only part I didn't like.  Was a real pain to switch between forums....
