Okay, my control panel, is 99% complete, all i have to do is add a little more laminate to the edges. I have four supers in it right now, and I sat back and thought about it, and started considering getting either 360's or 49's, would you guys reccommend it, do they mount in the same holes(is it possible to mount them with the wide part verticle so im drilling into new holes), and how many games will I see a difference on? Thanks for any help!

Will it be a problem to replace the joysticks after the CP is put together? If not, then just install the supers and see how you like them and decide later if you want to upgrade.

They are already in it. He wants to know if should put the others in. Basically is the trouble of replacing them worth having the other sticks?
-
A 49-way would be a direct swap out.
As to upgrading...most people who use 49-ways in a 4p only put 49-ways on p1 and p2 slots. The p3 and p4 are fine as supers.

Ah, I didn't realize they were already in and he was already playing games with them. I guess since your not satisfied with them, then you should upgrade, no point in settling for something when you think you'd prefer another option.

My big issue with the supers is the aweful clunking, and i dont know how to get rid of it, my cp is hinged so its really no big deal to replace them. I guess my question is, will I really get that good of a preformance increast to make sense spending the extra money?
And I would only replace 1 and 2, 3 and 4 can deal with supers lol.

Clunking you say? I had a similar problem and my buddy helped me out. Do me a favor and take a picture of the button of your joystick where the eclip is and lets see it.
Would you believe I didn't put the actuator on the bottom of the stick? I thought it wasn't a necessary peice. Like, a shorter shaft cover in case it went in a metal CP. I put the actuator peice on the bottom (and bent the metal arms back) and not only did the clunking stop - it plays great!

Yeah I have the acctuator on, with the long shaft, the pice that goes under the dust cover, its sumthin with the spring and the sleeve in the acctual box, ive dissassembled one and looked at it, couldnt find what was makin the noise, so i have no idea

Are you sure the green piece in the attached picture isn't upside down? The word "clunky" makes me think it might be...

Not the green piece, but the peice under the green piece. I didn't have that peice attached and it made clunking sounds.

I colored my own peice! It's the maroon piece. I actually forgot to put that on. My buddy Bleemus showed me and since then it's been perfect. Make sure the big end is down.
-
I think the green piece is right, damn thats a detail I didnt see loll, ill go try it and let you know.

That was it, thanks a ton guys!!! that sounds SOOO much better :-)
One last question, hows the depth of the 360's compare to the supers, my panel is as thin as possible so i dont know if im gonna run out of space.
