Title: MAMEWAH 1.61 ignoring ini files?
Post by: MartyNg on August 14, 2006, 10:08:15 pm
I'm running mamewah 1.61, and MAME 1.06. I used the mamewah res tool to generate the .ini files. They were all generated in my C:\MAME\INI folder, however, they seem to be ignored by MAMEWAH. No matter which game I start up, the resolution is always 640x480, which is only showing me the top half of the screen.

Is there a setting in MAMEWAH that I am missing that would cause it to ignore the .ini files?

Thanks!

You've got something mixed up. Mamewah (or pretty much any front end) has no effect on mame and vice versa. Only the ini files within mamewah affect mamewah and similiar with mame (or any other program running under mamewah).

If you're just starting out or don't mind minimal work, I suggest mamwah 1.62 instead. It has several useful features that 1.61 doesn't have.

I tried the 1.62 beta at one point but couldn't get that to work right either. If there are useful features, I guess I'll try that again and go from there. Thanks!

Go over to the software boards and there are some topics that should help you. Do a search for mamewah in that board and you'll get a lot of info.
