Guys, I may need a mounting plate for my Suzo (=Ultimarc) 2.25" trackball. Can anybody tell me if the Happ mounting plate is the same as the Suzo (Ultimarc) ?
The mounting holes are 89 mm (=3,5") apart from eachother (top-top, side-side).

Don't they all come with mounting plates? If not, why not???

No and
Because you don't need one for a metal control panel.

As for the one ring to rule them all... I believe so. But I only have one (happs). But when you buy them, they don't mention what trackball they are for.

So, if I follow you, to mount a trac to a wood CP, which I've never had to do, I need to purchase a mounting plate for it, too? :lame:

Please don't hi-jack my thread :D :D :D
Texasmame, yes apparantly, at least from what I've read by using the SEARCH here is that most people say it's a lot easier to use it, although I still don't see the difference in routing a recess for a joystick and routing a recess for a trackball.....but that may very well be because I haven't tried it yet
Anyway, back on topic:
I've answered this question myself after doing some hard research. I found the measures of a Happ 2.25" trackball on www.suzo.nl (http://www.suzo.nl) and compared it to my Suzo trackball (try not to get confused here.....Suzo and Happ have merged and now they sell eachothers stuff, but not all of it regretfully.....)
Sooooooooooooo, the distance diagonaly from one hole (f.i. the top one) to the next one (f.i. the right one) is 62 mm. I measured it with my Suzo and yes, this too is 62 mm, so my best bet is that a Happ mounting kit (plate with bolts and stuff) should work on a Suzo trackball.........
Confused ? You won't be after the next episode of ............Soap !

Thanks Kevin,
I was stupid enough only to look at the mounting view of the KIT on Happ's site, which doesn't give the dimensions between the mounting holes. The dimenions of the PLATE confirm what I already found out: it's at least the same sizes for the holes. N=1,75" and the size I mentioned (top-top)= 2x N, so 2 x 1,75= 3,5" .....exactly what I mentioned.
So, now I have this confirmed two ways, I think it's safe the Happ plate (kit) will fit the Suzo.....

yes, the happ will fit these tb's, I sell these in my buy/sell thread if you need
thanks

The only issue is that the pillars which fit into the trackball mounting holes are a very tight fit on the Happ plate. You will need to press the trackball very hard onto the plate to get the pillars to go right into the holes. But it should just about fit. The plates which we sell are designed for the Suzo and the pillars are slightly thinner.

Thanks for that info Andy, I was already wondering if yours was actualy a Happs. The strange thing is.........I don't find the Suzo plate anywhere in Suzo's catalogue.....?
