Yes they are. I just have to many systems around the house so the wife want s me to get rid of some.
-
That's a nice price too. Thinkpads are damn near indestructable.

I posted it up on Craigslist last night and I've already had 5 or 6 emails about it. I don't think it's going to last long.
-
Good luck finding an actual buyer on craigslist... 99.99999% of emails I get are all scams when I sell stuff on CL.
so annoying.

2 were obviously scammers wanting to pay with AlertPay ::) The others are local. I will only do local on Craigslist.

I always like the "I want to send to my daughter in Africa for schooling" emails. It's fun to mess with them sometimes, but it gets annoying after a while heh.
-
Still available.
-

-

IBM's kick all sorts of ass as long as you don't have to actually work on them. Amazing machines, bulletproof (in some cases, literally), but MY GODS do they suck to take apart.

Amen to that. I had to take mine apart to solder the power connector... Holy Craap. It was about 45 minitues and 45 screws to get to the stupid thing.
aargh!
Oh, and bump for a great laptop!
-
Lower price. Now $360
-
what will it cost me to ship it to 48340?
and does it have built in wifi?
-
No built in wireless on the T30 in front of me.

Correct. The T30 doesn't have built in Wifi. It does have built in Ethernet though. If you're really interested I could knock off another $10 for a wireless adapter. It looks like it would cost around $25 UPS ground.
It's a great machine. the only reason I'm getting rid of it is I already have 2 laptops and 6 desktops on my network. Wife doesn't want to see another PC. ::)
-
Gotta talk to the wife tonight, but i'm interested. Obviously if someone has cash in hand, dont hold it for me, but I'm thinking we can work something out for this.

Dell and Toshiba are the same way, its usually a 2-3 hour process to replace mobos on either of those systems.. and dont even ask about how much fun tablet PCs are....
Hopefuly someone snags this, good price for a good laptop if I had the cash Id jump on it but holding out for other toys :D

I disagree-I can replace a motherboard in a Dell laptop in 20-30 minutes, IBMs take me 50-100% longer because of the way they're put together.

the wife decided she didnt want it afterall. Thanks though

Is that your Craigs list add in the Akron/Canton area?
If so I'm interested, I'm in Brunswick. I would need wifi though, I didn't follow what you said on that...so how much more to get that?
I've got the cash but I'm leaving tomorrow for vacation, will be back on 10/16. I guess if you sell before then I've missed the boat.

Actually I'm in the Cincinnati area. The T30 doesn't have built in WiFi that's why I lowered the price another $10. It doesn't cost much to pick up a USB Wifi adapter. I've gotten them for $10-$15 before.

I don't see any Thinkpads on Akron Craigslist. :dunno
