Title: B&K Color generator, any use for arcade?
Post by: Angry_Radish on August 09, 2006, 08:27:09 am
I've been digging around in my basement, and came across a "B&K Model  Digital I.C. Color Generator"
It seems to have 9 test patterns you can choose from, switches to kill the r,g,and b guns, and a couple others.
Anyone familiar with this thing?
Wondering if it has any use with arcade monitors..

Thanks in advance!

There should be a model number on it somewhere. The only model they make that's suitable for arcade monitors is the model 1275. It's EXACTLY the same unit as Wells-Gardner's "Genie" monitor pattern generator except for the Wells-Gardner faceplate.

A picture of this monitor tester is at www.mcminone.com and type in stock number 73-892.

Damn, model 1246, oh well, was worth a shot.
Thanks for the reply!
