Title: Question on Bally "Lost World"
Post by: CharlieDizzle on August 06, 2006, 10:14:55 pm
Hey gang,

I looked over the forums for an answer similar to this, but I couldnt find what i was looking for. Recently i picked up a bally lost world pinball machine. after starting it up, everything seemed to come online, but only after about 10 mins of leaving the machine on. before it came online, it seemed to light up and dim out and light up again in a cycle. in addition to that, there is a series of lights on the playfield that light up to show the multipliers in adjusting point value.

heres the kicker. Although the lights dont light up at all, the multipliers still work in the adjusting of the score.

ive downloaded the manual for operation off of the pinball database, it shows that the scoreboard opens on a hinge to reveal various electronic goodies on the inside that handle the controlling of the machinem but the door is locked and i dont have a key.

now im thinking ive bored everyone who has read this post, so i will some it up.

what could be causing a chain of lights not to come up or activate such as the system on this bally machine.
and
how the heck do i get the scoreboard door open lol

thanks!

Carbine drill bit + low RPM/high torque drill = universal lockpick.

Actually, with those kind of locks, usually a screwdriver shoved into it and a hard twist will open them, too. They're cheap to replace-$5 or so at Lowe's/Home Depot, etc.
