Title: Good news about EmuMovies and update
Post by: Circo on August 06, 2006, 06:25:47 am: As some of you are aware the Tracker that most of the EmuMovies torrents are hosted on, is a Ratio tracker, well I spoke with the powers that be and they have made all of my torrents "Free" meaning they don't count against you for downloading, but you do get credit for seeding.

For those who are not members of that site, the links will also be updated in the next couple of days and will no longer require registration, so that should make it much easier to download. I will post here when the change has been made.

Also I do have quite a few sets in the works but my time has been mostly taken up by completing my PSX collection for the PS1 EmuMovies set. Don't get too excited, this set is going to take some serious time, I have around 200 previews completed and around 1800 to go and they are big, I expect the set to come in somewhere around 15-20GB. I am going to try to squeeze some other sets out in the meantime but with work, time is hard to come by lately.

Lastly, it has come to my attention that the links have gone bad to purchase the EmuMovies sets on DVD. I will be working on that tomorrow and apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.

Post by: fatfingers on August 09, 2006, 11:13:49 am: Oh, I see now. I had actually looked on [romsite name redacted] before, but I was interested in MAME previews and expected them to be named MAME EmuMovies, but instead they are named MAME intro vids! Doh! :dizzy:

Post by: Circo on August 10, 2006, 01:24:44 am: I do list the Mame previews on my set for completeness, but Cdbrown gets all of the credit for that one. So it is not actually an emumovies release, although I am in the process of manually making some of the previews that cdbrown could not do with his automated process.

Unfortunately the MAME set is currently not "free" because it is not an actual EmuMovies release and I can only control what I actually do and it would be pretentious of me to label cdbrown's work as EmuMovies without his consent.

While on this subject - there is currently no timeframe for the update to 107. A number of things have broken movie making process with the mame update so don't hold your breath on getting all the new games. Budda is working on it but also has a lot of other things on his plate.

If you are trying to point me to where most of the avi's are hosted the ones I ask about are not hosted there.

Edit: OK will have to do some more looking into this when I get home. I'm understanding you now. Thanks
