Life as I know it is over ;D
Tiny little thing. 18 1/2", 6 lbs. 5 oz. And ---smurfing--- perfect.
-
Congratulations. Nice knowing you. ;D
-
Congrats on the beautiful present, dad!
-
Congrats man & I hope the cute Mrs Shmokes is doing OK.
:applaud:
-
Congratulations and welcome to the club man! Don't worry - you get used to not having any sleep after a few years :)
-
congrats... now where's a picture....
-
Congrats!

More are coming. Here's her MySpace page. (http://www.myspace.com/maddymoses) ;D
She's not realy 16, but MySpace won't let zero-year-olds have MySpace pages. I've been too preoccupied to get many pictures scanned in. We've taken almost all the pictures of her so far with the film SLR cos it takes such nice pics. I've got a couple rolls developed but haven't scanned them in. I'll start shooting her with the digital point-and-shoot soon too.
Oh yeah, wife's doing great. Thanks!
-
How does the responsibility feel?
Congrats! Glad to hear everything is going fine!
:applaud:
-
Congratulations.
My wife is currently 10 weeks along, so hopefully I'll be there soon.
-
Congrats Shmokes, and good luck. Hi to Maddy and bye to sleep.
Congratulations.

Yeah, soon. Sure. 30 more weeks, each one worse than the next. Your wife will ---smurfette--- about everything, and you have to be nice (no matter what). "My body is ruined." The humanity.
-
Good stuff man, congrats.
-
Yeah. It's incredibly unfair. If I were a girl and it turned out there was a god afterall, he/she would have some serious explaining to do.

!
She's only a few days old and she already dropped "Tom" from her "friends" list? Give him a chance, he has the dope party hookups! ;D
Adorable.
-
Congrats!! It only gets better from here.
Buy a shotgun though. You'll need it in about 14 years when guys that you remind you of all of us start coming around.
-
Adorable.
Thanks. I totally agree.
And yeah, I expect that my tomatoes will get plenty of fertilizer once she becomes a teenager.

Your daughter shouldn't get married until you're at least 35, and shouldn't have sex until after you're dead.
Having kids is the best thing I've ever done with my life, bar none.

Pick up a brochure for a convent.
And nothing beats seeing my daughters be born.

Well, if she waits until HE is 35, wouldn't they have to move to someplace down south for her to get married? ;) Oh sure, it might be okay in some Mormon enclave there, but I get the feeling shmokes ain't gonna be raising her the same as he was raised ;D
-
Drew might have a point. I'm 27.
-
Congrats!!! Kids rock (except for when they don't). Life with kids just gets better and better, especially when diaper duty is over. Puke on the other hand gets real old real fast. You just watch them put the world together.
Some of the best stuff comes from when they put 2 totally different concepts together in some rediculous concoction then they explain the whole thing should work. Odd how it sounds like it could work some times. My son this weekend said that we should turn the car really fast (while we were going about 70 down the freeway). He said because then we could fly like a plane. It took a while to explain why it did not work that way.
Anyway enjoy the journey. Even the tired moments.

Heh. Yeah, what Drew said.

Age 7-8+ is when things get really fun-they stop being a kid and start turning into a person with all sorts of thoughts and ideas of their own. I'm loving being a dad of a 9 and 11 year old.
-
Congratulations Shmokes!
And yes, your life is over. I don't remember what it was like prefatherhood. My friends tell me I had a good time.
But I can't do without him now.
Hey, does anyone smell diapers?
-
Diaper Genie. The thing is brilliant.

Yep, I wish it were a tad bigger, though.

Well, don't try those vacuum pumps or pills, because believe me, they don't work.... oh wait, you were talking about the diaper genie. :-[

They're a fraud! After somewhere between 30 and 50 diapers they won't close anymore and the diapers never disappear! Genie my bottom.
By the way - They're serious when they tell you that a diaper can only hold approximately 40 pounds.

Anything to get a few extra seconds of sleep eh? Just remember that you can't go out in public like that, ya gotta put some pants on! Oh, and stop eating all that Mexican food and you won't have to worry about pushing the weight limits on those things ;D

You have to rub it. Vigorously.

If you'd have just stuck to doing that, you wouldn't be in this predicament in the first place! :laugh2:

Never underestimate the power of a turkey baster.
-
Didn't even know you were expecting a baby! Congratulations!
