hi i have full set of n64 Roms 2614 roms, i have been told that these have been verified with good tools and clr mame pro with no issues. i have placed all of these roms into the project 64 roms folder and when i refresh the list i am receiving many bad roms reports.
i have since verified this myself with clr pro and there are no issues does any one know what is wrong and whether there is a way to fix this. There are far to many to remove manually.
Perhaps there is a way of creating a filtered list with mamewah to remove the clones which may whittle the bad ones down any one got any ideas. It is driving me :banghead:

In my opinion, using a complete romset for the 64 is overkill, those roms are too large...what I did was go over the list manually and find the english US final versions of each game (and japan roms that I know), it only takes a couple hours for me...and I think I knock the list down to about 300. Then tweaking a list of 300 isn't so bad...not to mention the HD space you can save...

yes good point, what i am going to do is send all these roms to the recyling bin and then restore the roms i want from there, must be the quickest way.
Its appears all roms marked with a [!] will work with project 64 so i am going to concentrate on these.

Here, I got this from wikipedia....good info for anybody sorting through roms
EDIT: Ok, I tried posting the shortcuts, but it messed with the bold and italic, and strikethrough commands...so I am just going to post a link to the wiki.....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROM_image
scroll down about half way to see it...It says what the [!] and other things mean on the rom name

There are ways to super-compress roms using a version of 7-zip. I don't care for it (because nothing supports 7-zip) but I thought I would mention it.
