I got a XArcade 2 player box from a guy on ebay and it works perfectly with Mame and the PC emulators in my cab. Unfortunately my 1.4 TBird cannot quite make those PSX games work under emulation so I resorted to getting a cheap PSX original console.
I bought the adaptor plugged it in, booted Soul Blade, all controller ports plugged, (yes it was off when I did it) ready for action........zilch ???
Tried on the Xarcade Website, noted the PSX2 issue, but nope still cannot get the controller to work in either digital or analog mode.
So I bought another PSX thinking the other one was duff, and here I am again without Xarcade action. I have tried the controllers that come with the unit and they work ok. So what gives?
Left it for a week and came back to it today. Plugged only 1 controller port into the PSX and it works, but I cannot get the XArcade to work 2 players side by side like it should be. :badmood:
I have ordered a DC adaptor too so I hope this is only related to the PSX, as it will be pretty lonely without a human opponent. The PSX is not the PSOne and the Bios version is soooo old that it looks like one of the originals from 1997.
Any clues?

maybe you got a bad playstation adaptor. i personally have never used my x-arcade with an original playstation, but i have used it with my PS2, Dreamcast, gamecube, and Xbox, and it has worked flawlessly every time. You may want to make sure the selector switch on the back is in the 1st position...(i dont remeber if that is all the way to the left, or the right, i tore my x-arcade apart when i built my mame cabinet and may have flipped my switch over when i remounted it in the new case i made)
i've had some good experiences with x-gaming's support...sometimes they are very helpful, other times they dont even respond to my messages.
if all of the buttons work well with Mame, i'd say you have a bad adaptor for the playstation.
