Hi Again,
I have everything up and running fine except the joysticks. I can't program my joysticks and buttons at all :banghead:. I go to options: Mame: controller tab and I right click the area with the mouse and then left click BUT NOTHING TURNS grey to be programmed and changed. I went on the Mala homepage and read thru how to do it and it seems very easy, but I didnt see anything about the tab for setting up controller mapping. In that controller mapping section, should the box be checked for "use mapping"? Also, the four "SET" places in there with boxes for changing, where it has an example of your display screen ... what do you have each one of these set at?
So if anyone could just tell me how your options are set up for these tabs listed below in the CONTROLLER (BASIC) tab in Mala, I would sure appreciate it!
KEYBOARD
JOYSTICK
MOUSE
Please tell me what you have listed for SET in each one of those. Please tell me if there is anything else besides this I have to do in making my joysticks work. Thanks again
Dan :)

There is a bug with the joysticks in RC7: http://mala.arcadezentrum.com/wip.html
I think I will release a fixed version on this weekend.
What controllers do you use?
A keyboard encoder like IPAC or a standard joystick?

Swindus...
I am getting my cabinet this weekend and it will have an IPAC encoder in it. As for right now, I am using a Gravis gamepad pro joystick. Does this Mala version effect the controls with an IPAC also? Please let me know and if you are releasing an updated version to correct this. Mala is awesome by the way!!! Thanks,
Dan

No, the IPAC works fine. Its only an issue with gamepads and joysticks.

Hey,
Any status on this update? It'd be really nice to actually use MALA :) The lack of joystick control kinda makes it useless for those of us without keyboards or trackballs in their arcade cabinets.

SWINDUS is very busy with his paid work at the moment, but I have been hassling him about it anyway (I'm sure he put my e-mail address on his spam list)
