Hi,
I recently purchased a brand new tube/chassis that is made for a IGT Slot machine (pokie, gambling)
Its is a Ceronix brand and is a CGA chassis model number 2092.
The part numbers from the Ceronix website are:
CPA4103 for the chassis.
CPP1703 for the tube.
It had never been used still mounted in the steel frame and already hooked up ready to go and I unwrapped it and installed in my arcade machine.
I connected everything up properly, RGB HS VS etc, powered it up but they colours are total opposites to what they should be!
Black is white etc etc etc. :'(
Whats up with it?
I spoke to a TV tech and he said it could be NTSC (USA) and not PAL (here in NZ). I dont think they are in any format because its not a TV, correct?
I have tried degaussing with a wand, but still the same. Are they just not made for arcade machines?
Being CGA it shouldn't matter right?

What game is in your cab? ...... the colors sound inverted like a Nintendo game would do.

I have tried several JAMMA PCBs but all the same.

Hmmmm..... that's prety indepth manual they have, but the thing that throws me is:
The video interface circuit is a general purpose RGB type input circuit. This circuit
connects the external video signal to the video amplifiers. It can accept positive going
analog, negative going analog, and 4 line TTL. The particular mode of operation is
selected by placing solder bridges on the foil side of the PCB. The solder bridge patterns
are given in appendix A.
They show MANY options in that appendix, but none really jump out at me say "JAMMA" "Negative Composite" input.
The Input header is this:
1 - H *
2 - V
3 - * (asuming this is ground)
4 - R *
5 - G *
6 - B *
Jamma is Negative Composite video.
So it would typically be something like what I marked with *.
How do you have it hooked up right now?
You may want to e-mail them and specifically ask them what setup to use and if there is any of those soldering pad changes you need to make to function with Negative Composite Sync (Jamma).

Thanks for that.
I have it wired exactly as you have marked it. Although I did have to link the H and V sync to get a picture.
BUT the black and whites are opposites.
I have gone through just connecting one RGB at a time and the screen does go the colour connected.
I suspect it is a soldering job to get it working, hopefully.
Thought it was just plug in and go!
Will email them now.
Will post to see what they have to say.

Defineately come back and let us know if they answer you..... I would have thought it to be a plug and play replacment as well.

I am quite gutted about this. I hope it is something simple. It didnt cost me a lot. $70 NZD which is about $45USD so I am not out of pocket a large amount of money BUT I want it to go.
I have built the cabinet below and want to PLAY my Multi Williams board. :-[

I hope they reply because I have heard lots of people don't get get replies from large companies and ringing from New Zealand would cost $$$$.
